Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) is Constituted under section 4 of The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. CECB is required to carry out the functions as specified in section 17 of Water and Air Acts and  to implement certain provisions of Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 & the rules made there under.
